Jan Jurczak (b. 1996 in Krakow) - visual artist and activist, has finished courses on Institute of Creative Photography in Opava, Czech Republic (2019-), Institute of Philosophy and Sociology of the Pedagogical University of Krakow, Poland (2017–2018), graduated from Sputnik Photos Mentorship Programme, Warszawa, Poland (2017-2018). 

Jurczak's practise combines activism and participatory, creative activities. He often uses photographic medium. Since 2017 Jan has been visiting Ukrainian communities located near the frontlines in the eastern portions of the country. Jurczak was involved in creating a support centre in Avdiivka, Donbas; distributing humanitarian help and conducting charity fund-risers for homeless people in Donbas. In 2020, in duet with Pamela Bożek, Jan started cooperating with Chechen minority in Polish Centres for Foreigners creating Polish Birds project. Since 2020 he curates Naga Gallery events together with Tomasz Kawecki.

Jan climbs since childhood with his friends, spends time close to the nature when possible and is not so serious person as the sentences above would tell. He loves his old Fiat Doblo and his bike.
